okay i haven't blogged for a long long time.

and so today's gonna be one long post.

probably the biggest thing on everyone's mind for the past few weeks or so has undoubtedly been the common tests. first ever major exam in a junior college was bound to get everyone excited.

and so we did the papers. and they went past in a blink. *blink*. and there it went. the results were the agony. slowly. slowly. slowly they came. but surely they did. first up - physics.

not that i expected much though. hearing the general scoring from the entire level put my heart at ease knowing that i could not expect anything higher than an ungraded. for the fact was i din really try for this subject and so that was the best i could expect. and indeed it was. 31% for physics. first ungraded subject.

next up was mathematics. now this subject i did try. but looking at the general scoring from the entire level again the prospects weren't bright. but still i was hoping with three fingers crossed that i could somehow manage an E or S. well at least its better than U. but well 35% wasn't didn't augur too well for such expectations and it left me disappointed for the whole of history lesson. arwell maybe i was thinking too much. maths is a really difficult subject that took hell during O level to do well and now its gonna take more hell to do as well during promos or A levels. well wad to do life sucks but it can be done.

so its a double U. haha yeah W.

and left with econs. happy birthday man. the one subject where ANYTHING and i mean ANYTHING can happen.

so getting triple U wasn't out of the picture. in fact i was already painting half of the picture liao. thankfully and really thankfully i dunno from where i managed to get a lovely D for donkey and for once in my life that letter looks really pretty on my report card.

and somehow i tyco-ly got B for GP while i felt disappointed with a B for chinese. ah heck its over. lets get on with life.

and on with life it was. with service learning and project work breathing down my neck i could hardly breathe. now its the written report days and that means hello to sleepless nights and mrs. lee's endless lecturing again. luckily i have a great group and that means things get going better and easier and faster but still it pretty much looks like hell.

the planning for service learning started almost well. since second intake started. well that time i was somehow made to write a proposal bout any organisation and it ended up being chosen as the one for the class and that was how i became involved with this.

well i chose MINDS for one very simple reason. and yeah some would know why. aniwae it wasn't that easy to organise for the many unexpected things that happened. initially we had the programme planned but suddenly got the news that S16 also approached the same organisation. so there was a bit of confusion there but it got cleared up as the weeks passed by.

later on or rather lyk one week before service learning we were suddenly tasked to buy SO MANY THINGS. yeah we were suddenly given so much details that it caused a panic but luckily luckily everything got settled well.

and so today was service learning. most of us met up at mcdonalds for breakfast before heading to sch and boarded the bus and headed for yio chu kang. so it was nice to see the school from the inside for the first time. at first we were in the office being redundant but luckily things got sorted out easily. afterwhich we met mrs. teng - someone who we conversed with over the telephone for a number of months and finally meeting in person was quite an intruiging affair. it wasn't wad i pictured but nevertheless luckily she turned out to be different.

the briefing was pretty boring. everyone was trying to stay awake and kept telling pple to fake attention. haha yeah learn from mrs lee one. fake smile. shes the best at it.

the tour around the sch was nice. im sure many pple got an eye opener and glen a.k.a clark a.k.a superman made a comment which i remember clearly: "this makes me realise how fortunate i am"... haha yar cliche yes but well it was true.

after the tour we proceeded with our activities. and for my grp we did the volcano first. yeah construct a model of a volcano. at first it was tough. we didn't have slightest ideas coz well we nvr did it before. the skeleton of the volcano was hard to do but after much deliberation we finally did it and wad a good result it was. certainly impressive. the dinosaurs were damn funny too. ernesaur.

lunch time. nothing eventful. but i did something for the first time. shooting barley seeds through my straw. pearls are more fun.

so went back to the sch and changed roles with the other group. now we assisted the teachers in their cca. which was girl guides. yeah we were supposed to help them do their art and craft. quite fun but very weird though. the oil still stinks on my hand. the highlight was probably this girl called amirah. haha hilarious. glen was teaching her that his name is "clark" and she had trouble pronouncing it at first: "duck duck" but some how got the "cllllark" in the end.

when everyone left. she had to say a special goodbye to glen a.k.a clark a.k.a superman. haha damn funny la. instant superstar. we made him take a photo we her before she left and it probably looked like a press conference.

and to end off service learning we set off a volcanic eruption! wah dat was nerve wrecking. coz well we din know whether or not it would react. thank the heavens thank the seas it was successful. and quite a pretty eruption too. too bad we killed a dinosaur in the process. but thats it aniwae life sucks right? haha...

and that concluded service learning. all in all it was a gd experience and i think the class enjoyed it. looking back i realised the scene where we were all helping them in their art and craft was quite touching. haha yar and it was gd team work that helped make the volcano model a success.

so hopefully nxt year's service learning will be equally gd.

aniwae its time for pw. gd night pple. =)
