"we always talk about the things we don't really mean"

was talking to this friend of mine and this somehow along the way came up.

So let's examine it shan't we?

It's a rainy day and Harry has just ended a long day at work. Monthly sales quotas have not been met and logistics at the company are in a mess. He tucks out his shirt, slackens his tie and rumages his fingers through his wavy hair, and ultimately throws his briefcase in the boot and gives out a long, loud sigh.

"Click" and the phone is opened. Harry runs through the missed calls list and calls up Leann, his girlfriend of two years. He arranges to pick her up from school and go for dinner.

The orders are placed and they continue to engage in conversation. Leann tells Harry about how her day at school went and like most with a load to let go off their chests, she starts to rant about her peers and teachers. However a pricky issue soon surfaces and Harry doesn't quite agree with what Leann thinks and he tells her about it. It consequently leads to a debating session of sorts with both trying to outdo each other with their volumes.

Then in a flash moment, he starts to tell her all the negativity about her and tells her that she is the worst girlfriend he can ever have.

They patch up at night over a phonecall.

Okay i was trying to find a good enough scenario but obviously the above didn't fit the bill. Nevertheless it does have a certain revelance to what the first line of this blog entry talks about.

It's just like how we say "i hate my parents" or "i hate my bro" or "i hate to go to school" and in many other scenarios. We just don't say what we mean to. Alright maybe some people are becoming sacarstic, to create a supposedly humourous effect, but is that a worthy approach everytime?

Or is it because of society's "regulations" - that we cannot be too open and direct because our culture does not allow for it, because we were not brought up that way anyway and because everyone else is assumably like that too?

Anyways that's food for thought. had a small urge to write a gp-essay like thingie but no mood for it now cause...

SAHA JUST SCORED!! WOOHOO i was afraid man u might lose points on this. wah thank god. haha saha is the genius really. although rooney is still ultimately the prodigous talent.

and talking bout talents Wu Chia Ching, one of the latest and definitely the most exciting talent pool has seen to date has just been knocked out of the world pool championships! oh man exciting match just to watch and you must have been left wondering where his luck left him... two scratches on two breaks simply gifted the match to his opponent in a match where he was his usual dead on accurate self.

so sadly the 17 yr old won't be able to defend his title. crazy man becoming the world champion at 16 years of age must be a heck of an experience not lived only by a few men on planet earth. ohwell four practical unknowns are now left in the semis and we'll see who becomes a new world champion.

anyways its been a tiring day. looking for some sleep now. adios pple.
