blogging from the computer now seems so weird.
for usually beside the msn messenger would be the web windows and beside that would usually be a word document and a powerpoint as well.
now the latter two are missing.
in other words there's no more project work. no more written reports and fussing over little little details and powerpoints and fonts and images and colours and props and again all those little little details that have probably made the jc1 cohort's hairs stand on end.
at least certainly ours did - we needed hats to keep it down. literally.
i rmbr that very first day LSL announced our groupings after experiencing two previous groupings. finally one that felt really right. balance, and yeah basically feeling was there. heh poor discription but that was how we got started. an hour of seemingly pointless but humourous rants about preliminary ideas surely confirmed that this was going to be it.
and that's how we started.
PIs were over in a flash and since individualism played the key there there ain't nothing much to talk about. the GPP was where we held our first real meeting and it was at the macdonalds at lido. 5 hours it took and the product was produced. (half that is). but the important one was that the work direction and frame was produced.
and that's how we proceeded.
simply put. written report was out of this world. comprehensively difficult and complicated strained all of us and many times we had to struggle through the night to meet the deadlines. (okay probably this was our own fault)... heh but still it was tough. nevertheless after the millions of drafts and details corrected and phrases like "you and i" selected, we finally completed it and looking at the thing finally getting binded with that plastic transparency on is just so satisfying. probably the same as when u become a father. just that in this case the "son" is a few pieces of paper (albeit with sweat and toil).
and that's how we entered the final stages.
admittedly the oral presentation was done with much more ease than the WR but still it was as straineous as it could get. the first dry run was considered to be a success, but the second was as big a failure as it could get. major errors showed that there was a still a long way to go. so thankfully we reved up our engines for today's final and i dare say we did it. haha cheers!
it has been an enriching experience really and all the way it has been a solid team effort.
im glad we managed to get belinda to open up for this project for she initially had always been that of a quiet one in a corner. usually the only one to meet our group deadlines and again usually the only one with seemingly limitless ability to listen and then provide fruitful inputs has again been instrumental in providing utmost balance for our project.
im wary of speaking the wrong things here and hopefully everyone won't come scrutinize this and spice them up to what they really aren't. of coz lena has always helped to keep the mood upbeat with those constant jokes that leave us shuddering. a positive flow of energy although at times channeled at the wrong places, but nevertheless it is this that has provided our group with endless streaks of whacky ideas that have become synonymous with us since day one.
really lucky to have jerome in for his dedicated efforts have always propelled our team. always the last one to sleep whenever we have deadlines to meet and rumaging through every single detail to ensure we all fit just fine. our chief editor, and probably our chief director as well - as his abilities piece the puzzles together and make our acts flow as one.
chester and all that alarm clock business is something that i'll remember for a while. having been so lucky as to be the one with the closest proximity to school but yet never ever (not even once) been earlier than anyone else has become his everlasting trademark. but his key inputs (esp. in times of need like our WR) has been extremely vital to our group without which im sure we would have been stuck much more severely than our actual circumstances. his constant yakking too has kept the mood vibrant and undoubtedly completes the balance of our team.
and with that. haha PW is done.
