firstly, work.

started on 5/12, ended today 29/12.

in all overallness it has been a terrific experience, prob needless to say save this is my first proper employment, but really i didn't expect to learn so much from a part time job that usually for most people is something that they spend watching the clock tick away and when the minute hand strikes the hour mark of their day-end they pick up their bag and walk away.

most of the time i was hoping the clock wld stop ticking for there was so often so much to do yet so little time.

well i worked for this gift company called Gician Novelties and since Christmas is the time of the year where everyone is crazy snapping up everything to give to everyone else, in all proper logic they well need more people. and who to hire but students right? cheap and occasionally reliable and effective.

well if you step into popular, or giant, or watsons, you will see not only stationary or foodstuff or personal care but also many gifts. yepp these big companies tend to want to have everything don't they so they call up Gician to supply gifts. and that's where my job comes about.

my partner and i hafta run through 18 populars around this sunny (and recently rainy) island and make sure stocks are full and neatly arranged, ranges are adequate and if anything is not trim and proper then we'll hafta place orders blah blah.

well in the first week that was my job. in all honesty it was relatively easy. although definitely not mudane. most days were usual 9 hours 10am - 7pm.

but the second week was where the trouble began. roadshows had to be run and that's where our job scope diversified. and days became longer, 10am - 8pm, den 9pm den 10 pm. but it was challenging definitely and more fun really coz you get to meet more people too.

third week - christmas week. wow this was jia lat. days were 14 hours long and most of the time dinner was just a run into macdonalds buy a double cheeseburger finish it as you walk across the road throw the wrapper into the dustbin. 3 mins of "dinner".

yep real dinner only occured at home at midnight. and after a short sleep it was alarm ringing at 630am again and off to another hectic day of work.

why? coz pple like you and you and you just keep buying christmas gifts! haha no la its not a bad thing just that the staff of gift companies go crazy. for example we hafta replenish 10 000 bucks worth of stock twice everyday at tampines mall. and another 10 000 bucks every day at causeway point. it prob takes 3 hrs every time at each location and add that to all the other smaller roadshows and all the populars that need to be taken care of and tada you will go crazy.

however coincidentally it was really fun. of coz not wif your boss around. coz usually all the part-timers wld group together and really talk bad about our bosses - and it really happens everywhere - at the ware house, at the office, at the roadshows, at the populars... it's really hilarious and luckily for that coz at least humour lifted spirits when time was against you.

this week was boring though - post christmas and really the festivities die down. nvm at least i only worked for a month. so that's that.

secondly, was ex-class outing. and ex means not 06S23 PAE, not 406, not 208, but 6F! haha yeahh primary sch outing. and it was planned in one night.. brilliant work there. haha yepp it really is great catching up wif everybody.

surprisingly not many have changed. there definitely were but it was not significant. looks wise maybe but when it matters, our characters were still true to what was and that's something that was amazing. many great memories there and hopefully many more great memories to come.

thirdly, was class bbq. and this time it's my current class. haha yeahh just came back from it tired and eye sored. aniwae thanks glen for that wonderful present. haha it relli is damn nice la. and lena too for that pig-led.

aniwaes time to slp. nites pple.
