wow i haven't been in here for a while. had abandoned my little hideout due to the crazy schoolwork and other funny stuff that keep going trying to force their way into the rhythm of our lives.

anyways, i just bought a new bowling ball! waha. Active Zone. cool man. i only paid $110 for a $330 ball. shiok. thanks to NUS. By any means the colour is beautiful and hopefully the reaction will be too.

Brunswick’s International Series has been developed specifically for Asian markets using core and coverstock systems that provide Asian bowlers with a range of equipment that matches up to typical Asian lane conditions. The looks of International Series balls are also adapted to Asian tastes making the International Series completely customized for Asian bowlers. Available only through International Distributors.

Reaction Characteristics
The Active Zone combines a Brand New coverstock called PK Traction - 6 to the International Zone line and a proven Ultra Low RG core system to break a New Hook Potential Limit. The Secret is in the PK Traction coverstock. The PK Traction coverstock skids easily through the front part of the lane, then responds quickly to the mid-lane and continues its strong grip on the backend of the lane producing the Strongest Hooking International Zone to date.

Response Time
To understand the International Zone Coverstocks better we will be using a 1-10 number scale system after
the coverstock name to describe Response Time. Response Time is how fast or slow the ball changes direction when it encounters friction. The Higher the number the Faster the ball will change direction similar to Skid/Snap. The Lower the number the Slower the ball will change direction similar to Smooth Arc.

Utility
Out of the box: With its dull 800-grit wet sand surface the Active Zone matches up well on medium to oily lane conditions.
When shined: Using Brunswick’s Factory Finish High Gloss Polish or Rough Buff, the total hooking action of the Active Zone can be reduced and the arc made more skid/snap. Both polishes reduce hooking action in the oil and increase reaction on dry back-ends. The Rough Buff provides a moderate amount of change and the High Gloss Polish a greater amount of change. To duplicate the Rough Buff Factory Finish start with 220-grit on the ball surface and apply the Rough Buff Polish. To duplicate the High Gloss Factory Finish start with 400-grit on the ball surface and apply the High Gloss Polish.

Reaction Setup
The Active Zone can be drilled using the standard drilling techniques developed for two-piece balls, see the included drilling instructions for reaction characteristics and layout details.

bowling's taken on a new dimension recently, with what nationals and all that coming up. roll off on saturday was particularly bad, both for the team and for my own self. I hope our coaches are not all that disappointed, for i still keep my faith with the team. Anyhows, theres one more saturday to redeem ourselves. lets hope all goes well shall we?

Suddenly i've got that bowling rush in my blood all over again. let's hope something pays off this year. really all that can dream of is that overall schools championship. we're gonna fight. fight till we fall and die.

friday was particularly eventful. it was the once a year sports day, but this time, with a twist. kudos to the house comm for that - it was great thinking. for this year, we had none of the usual 100m, 200m, 400m etc etc etc. it was just interclass, and subsequently intra school. haha fun stuff.

so 23 combined with 28 and that got my hopes up high this year. heh. we're s238. or i was joking in the morning other pple are 183 club we can be 283 club. the run was nail biting till the very end, nervous nervous nervous, and it didn't help matters when i was at the very end, being the last runner. (felt like peeing all the way la!) good fight and due to some unforseen happenings we finished 2nd in the end. Definitely much more fulfilling than last year, but sadly we didn't make the top 16. but i'm sure we were quite close though.

after sports day most of us changed into our slippers shorts shirts tanktops blah blah and headed for EAST COAST PARK! muaha. fun day man. our class loves the beach. we even own our very own plot of land on the beach!

there. that's our little plot of land at east coast park. jealous? haha.

great day to slack around at the beach. and it was real cool. even had a little adventure which ended up in a road block and many many mosquito kisses on our legs. nevertheless it was really great to just take a break and do the things in life that relax your mind and bring you far far away from the many dreadful realities of it. love s23 man.

we had a movie, we had a pay-per-view event. now it's our very own delicate circus balancing act.

with the wind brushing into our faces and the sand brushing up our feet. all except one?

we were probably too dangerous that they had to lock us up. but apparently one monkey escaped. okay make that two.
